Life's Abundance is most fortunate to be owned and led by a very special couple, George and Cris Jochum.  George and Cris both have a long and prolific background in both business and philanthropy. Their examples and mentorship are a blessing to all in the Life's Abundance family. George was a household name on Wall Street in the 1980s and 1990s. He gathered much of his business experience as a corporate executive at Western Union for 32 years, serving as a Vice President and President, among other positions. In 1985, he was named CEO of Mid Atlantic Medical Services Inc (MAMSI). When George took the helm at MAMSI, the company was near bankruptcy and had only 120 employees. Over the course of the next thirteen years under his leadership, MAMSI grew to over 2,000 employees and revenues of $1.2 billion. Upon retiring from MAMSI, George assisted numerous other small developing companies. He became CEO of Zone Labs and worked with that company from 2002 to 2006. Under Georges guidance, Zone Labs became profitable within 10 months. George’s reputation on Wall Street and Main Street is that of a turnaround expert. He has proven that he can take companies large and small, and without the typical slash and burn cost cutting methods of many CEOs, helps them perform at their best – all the while, safeguarding profitability and fairness for all stakeholders. George has been an avid golfer, but today is known as a hands-on owner who works seven days a week. Cris made a name for herself in the 1970s in the world of software and IT management. Cris set up business libraries for Continental Grain Company and Western Union, before becoming a Systems Analyst with a Western Union subsidiary. As a sought after Information Technology specialist and manager of computer programmers, Cris broke new ground for women in the computing world as computers came of age. Cris has also been a freelance software consultant during the computing boom of the 1980s. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Cris has served as a board member of the Child Assault Prevention Program, the Washington Scholarship Fund, and the American Heart Association. When not engrossed in the Life's Abundance business, Cris can often be found with her children and grandchildren. Cris also enjoys reading, skiing, and walking. George and Cris made their first investment in Life's Abundance in 2000 and became majority owners in 2005. Today, this iconic yet humble couple provides motivational leadership and uncommon humility to all who meet them across the growing Life's Abundance family. They are committed to operating a stable company, and providing a welcoming platform of abundance for pet lovers and opportunity seekers alike.
